A Tier II supplier of components, systems and aftermarket products for the automotive industry with a core business market consisting of seating, ride control, exhaust components, heat shields, noise, vibration and harness (NVH), chassis and structural and window regulators.

GENERAL SUMMARY This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. This position is responsible to assist current engineering personnel with the planning, completion and implementation of selected Engineering Projects determined by the Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist Engineering to ensure all Manufacturing processes are operating within OSHA standards to ensure the safety and well being of all associates.
Assist Engineering with review of processes and implementation of process improvements.
Assist Engineering in Facility upgrades to ensure Manufacturing needs are met.
Participate in Problem Solving and 8D activities to ensure Quality Products for our Customers.
Assist Engineering with investigations to ensure that NASG Manufacturing processes are constantly evolving with technological advancements.
Assist Engineering in support of Associate Involvement Teams.
Assist Engineering in Training of plant personnel as required for Process Improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Education A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field is required. A High School Diploma or GED with at least 7 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience will also be considered.
Experience At least 3 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience is required.
General understanding of Continuous Improvement principles.
Personal/Technical Skills
Computer skills including Power Point and other Microsoft products.
Highly motivated, ambitious self-starter.
General understanding of project management skills.
Organizational skills to assist in project planning and implementation.
Must have a problem solving mind set and a positive attitude.
Must have the ability to work with all levels of the organization as well as suppliers.
Will need flexibility to work a schedule that allows completion of assigned duties on a daily and weekly basis.
Language Skills Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language (English) used in the workplace.
Computer/Software Solid working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, Internet).
General understanding of Design & Engineering Software.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS Plant: Various types of manufacturing environments.
Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level.
PPE such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, Kevlar sleeves, hearing protection may be required in designated engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.
Involves moderate or occasional presence of some slightly disagreeable conditions, i.e., cold, dust, heat, odor, etc.
