SAIC is seeking an Experimental Research System Engineer to join our team. SAIC provides specialized engineering, analysis and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. The Experimental Research System Engineer will be responsible for supporting the customer with the design and execution of experiments that will assess the program’s success against established objectives. The Experimental Research Systems Engineer performs their work independently of government direction or tasking. The focus of the Experimental Research Systems Engineer efforts is the delivery of a final report documenting the experiment design, execution, and results.
Job Description Formulate research questions and hypotheses-based project CONOPs Design experimental procedures and protocols to test the hypotheses Review and determine statistical techniques to support analysis Review and determine required hardware and software to support experiment execution Determine and document data collection methodology Draft experiment plan and receive feedback Develop final experiment plan Evaluate contractor’s software and related documents Collect and curate data Conduct analysis of collected data Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures, observations, and results Document experiment results and findings in a clear and concise manner through reports, presentations, and publications Present experiment results and findings to leadership
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly Must have a bachelor’s degree with minimum of Nine (9) years relevant work experience or a master’s degree with minimum of Seven (7) years relevant work experience or a Ph.D. with minimum Four (4) years relevant work experience Demonstrated design of experiments experience Demonstrated ability to work independently Demonstrated experience executing experiments and collecting and analyzing resulting data Critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills Self-starter and taking the initiative, requiring minimal direction and supervision
Desired Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint) Proficient skills using JIRA and Confluence Prior experience working in NRO SPO
