Scrubbing, gowning, and gloving the surgical team, maintaining aseptic technique and anticipating instrument and equipment needs. Assisting surgeons and perioperative staff by passing instruments, retractors, sutures, and supplies with precision and timing. Preparing the operating room, including equipment setup, instrument counts, and ensuring all safety checks are completed before incision. Supporting patient positioning and draping, maintaining documentation accuracy, and participating in turnover to ready the room for the next case. Collaborating with circulating nurses, anesthesia teams, and support staff to optimize efficiency, safety, and patient comfort.
