We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Lancaster Farms, a Category C Prison located in the outskirts of Lancaster, Lancashire.
HMP Lancaster Farm consists of 550 males. As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will be based within the Healthcare department with some prison wing work required.

Salary Annual salary up to £43,609.00 - £49,175.00 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
Assessing and managing patients’ mental health needs.
Working collaboratively with the multi‑disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload, assessing physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
Contributing to our nursing strategy and vision to provide outstanding evidence‑based care, seeking out, listening to and acting on patients’ feedback so that care is personalised.
Delivering non‑judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
Playing an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients’ care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.

Qualifications
NMC Registered - Mental Health
Experience working within mental health settings, developing knowledge and understanding of this patient group
Evidence of continued professional development
Experience working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders in a multi‑disciplinary environment
Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (desired but not essential)
