Nesco Resource is seeking a Production Planner for one of our clients in Bethel, CT. If you are a results-oriented, team player with strong production planning skills and experience, this may be the ideal position for you!
Summary In search of a knowledgeable Production Planner with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional organizational and time-management skills, and a strong regard for product quality and safety standards. Experience with MRP and ERP systems is required, and APICS certification is preferred.
Key Tasks
Plan assigned production flow; monitor status of and resolve problems with material flow; release material and work orders to production groups per established schedules.
Execute the preparation of production schedules and detailed machine loading to comply with delivery schedules.
Coordinate with Production Supervisor, Sales, and Logistics personnel to alleviate conditions that negatively affect scheduled deliveries.
Work closely with production to find improvement areas in planning and production flow.
Use company systems to drive overall planning and customer service improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience along with 5 years of production planning experience in a similar industrial manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and inventory control systems.
Experience with different ERP systems.
Looking for someone who will "own" the position... bring their own ideas and efficiencies.
Strategic mindset, can understand lead time and foresee scheduling. For example, if a machine is down (perhaps someone is on vacation) they understand the impact and address the issue.
APICS certification a plus.

Salary range: $80–90K
