Description Lockheed Martin is a global security and aerospace company that employs approximately 114,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration, and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products, and services. Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas.

We are experiencing growth and looking for an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Test Engineer for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) EMI (electromagnetic interference) Lab. You will be responsible for ensuring that products are tested carefully per unique program requirements, typically based off various military standards such as MIL-STD-461. Our team will coordinate with the E3 Hardware Design and Analysis team, a multi-disciplined group of electrical, mechanical, and electro‑mechanical engineers that are designing products to meet E3 requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

Performing conducted emissions, radiated emissions, radiated susceptibility, bulk current injection (BCI), and electro‑static discharge (ESD) testing on avionics, weapons, communication, and navigation subsystems as well as full system level tests.

Configuring and calibrating LISNs, antennas, EMI chambers, reverberation chambers, susceptibility/emissions test profiles, shielding effectiveness and antenna pattern tests.

Leading the setup and execution of EMI/EMC test events in accordance with MIL-STD-461/464 test standards and other relevant EMI standards.

Analyzing and compiling test event data with HDA E3 engineer to help ensure designs meet requirements.

Supporting test fixture designs for EMI/EMC test events.

Assisting lab manager in day‑to‑day lab operations (audits, 6S, security, facilities and maintenance work requests, calibration tasks, preventative maintenance, etc.).

Analyzing results against MIL‑STD‑461 limits, generating pass/fail reports, and producing detailed test reports (including setup diagrams, traceability matrices, and corrective‑action recommendations).

Collaborating with a multi‑disciplined team of engineers and effectively interfacing with supplier and customer representatives.

Maintaining an inventory of test equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated per ISO/IEC 17025 schedule, and documenting calibration certificates.

Troubleshooting and repairing test fixtures, cables, antennas, RF amplifier systems, grounding/strap systems and other test equipment racks.

Preparing and reviewing test procedures and test specifications for internal QA.

Supporting design reviews and TRRs (technical readiness reviews) and providing EMC/EMI feedback to program engineers during development.

Attending customer technical meetings, presenting test results, and addressing non‑conformance findings.

Traveling as needed for customer technical meetings and test support at off‑site facilities or government test ranges.

Contributing to continuous‑improvement initiatives and updating lab SOPs.
