Role Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients, ensuring comfort and providing education throughout treatment
Conduct thorough reviews of patients’ health histories to support quality care
Take and process x‑rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.)
Provide superior chairside assistance (four‑handed dentistry) during procedures in accordance with the state dental practice act
Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping
Prepare the treatment room, adhering to safety protocols and OSHA & CDC recommendations
Manage supplies and inventory, and place orders as needed
Collaborate with providers and the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow

Minimum Qualifications Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
Experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑centric environment
Required dental assistant certification and/or x‑ray certification (if mandated by state law)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
HIPAA training and commitment to protecting PHI
Preferred Experience 1+ year of experience in a dental setting
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software
Completion of a dental assisting school program
Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
Lift and carry up to 45 pounds as needed
Availability for virtual or in‑person training sessions throughout the year
Tuberculosis (TB) test required for all new hires (except in FL & TN)
Work Schedule Monday 7:45 am‑5 pm
Tuesday 7:45 am‑5 pm
Wednesday 7:45 am‑5 pm
Thursday 6:45 am‑4 pm
Friday – off
