Phlebotomist Job at Pride Health in Merritt Island

Position Phlebotomist – 4‑month assignment with possible contract‑to‑hire at a medical facility in Merritt Island, FL 32953. Salary and Hours Base pay: $19.30 – $21.55 per hour (pay determined by experience and certifications). Schedule: Monday‑Friday 6:00 am – 3:00 pm; rotating Saturday 6:30 am – 11:30 am. Key Responsibilities Perform blood draws and other specimen collection (e.g., urine, fecal) using straight or butterfly needles. Explain venipuncture and specimen collection clearly and courteously to patients. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens in accordance with physician orders and laboratory requisition forms. Verify test requisitions or computer labels against script to ensure 100% correctness. Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures. Record maintenance data and perform decontamination. Update patient information as necessary. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience required.
