Phlebotomist II Houston, TX
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with rotational weekends. Full?time position.
Pay
$18.50+ per hour. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities
- Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
- Administer oral solutions as trained.
- Verify orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
- Navigate computer, accurately enter data, and maintain billing information.
- Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required.
- Perform non?patient?facing duties: inventory, supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and email.
- Comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
- Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance logs, temperature logs, etc.) as required.
- Complete online and in?person training courses timely.
Qualifications
- Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
- Flexible availability based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on?call, and overtime.
- Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
Required Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
The position requires effective communication in English.
