Job Description: As a QA Tester, you will be part of a team responsible for planning, constructing, and executing various types of tests including product, system, unit, load, volume, and network tests. This role also involves working closely with release control processes and supporting quality standards throughout the testing lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
- Review and understand the Test Team work plan.
- Assist in managing and directing Test Team processes.
- Anticipate, identify, track, and resolve issues and risks affecting testing activities.
- Develop contingency plans and research problems before escalation.
- Guide and assist other testers as needed.
- Develop understanding of system business requirements supported by the Test team.
- Assist Application Teams in planning and executing component and assembly tests.
- Define product test plans and acceptance criteria.
- Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures.
- Plan, create, and control test environments; conduct inspections and resolve issues.
- Coordinate and execute assembly or product tests with relevant teams.
- Monitor estimated time-to-complete (ETC) and actuals for assigned tasks.
- Enhance testing skills of team members and update release installation procedures.
- Apply industry best practices and new developments to improve processes.
- Create test models for product test and release control (plans, data, scripts).
- Execute structured walk-throughs and inspections; resolve issues.
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates and follow quality standards.
- Work effectively in a team environment and complete assigned tasks on time.
- Strong understanding of QA processes and methodologies.
- Ability to define and utilize entry/exit criteria for testing.
- Experience in creating test plans, scripts, and managing test environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
