This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Position Summary The Product Owner Level 2 plays a pivotal role in driving product strategy and execution across Agile teams. This role builds on foundational product ownership experience and requires a strong ability to lead cross-functional collaboration, translate business strategy into actionable development work, and ensure delivery of high-impact solutions. The Level 2 Product Owner is expected to operate with greater autonomy, mentor junior team members, and influence broader product decisions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Strategic Backlog Management: Own and evolve the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and technical feasibility. Lead prioritization across competing demands.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a primary liaison between business lines, development teams, and external partners. Facilitate strategic conversations and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Vision Alignment: Translate the company's strategic vision into clear product goals and user experiences. Guide teams in visualizing and delivering value.
  • Customer-Centric Design: Lead efforts to understand market trends, customer feedback, and user behavior to inform product decisions and UX/UI enhancements.
  • Release Planning & Execution: Oversee release planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery of features and improvements. Coordinate across teams and dependencies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance and feedback loops to identify opportunities for system, process, and experience enhancements.
  • Risk & Compliance Oversight: Ensure product features and processes comply with regulatory, security, and risk management standards. Proactively manage and escalate risks.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Coach and mentor Level 1 Product Owners and team members. Promote Agile best practices and servant leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Business System Analysts, vendors, and cross-functional teams to translate business strategies into development tasks.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Collaborate with data teams to ensure data quality controls are implemented and leveraged for product insights.
  • Documentation & Testing: Articulate requirements into use cases, Agile stories, and acceptance criteria. Support testing frameworks and validation processes.
Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe POPM, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in product ownership or related roles.
  • Proven ability to manage products through the full lifecycle in Agile environments.
  • Strong understanding of market research, data analysis, and customer experience design.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, and risk management standards.
Technical & Leadership Skills:
  • Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Adobe Workfront, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
