We are seeking entry level candidates to come join our software engineering team at BAE Systems in southern New Hampshire in the spring/summer of 2026. Here, you’ll work alongside some of the brightest minds in engineering, tackling complex technical challenges that shape the future of defense and aerospace. Whether it’s designing real-time embedded software, developing advanced signal processing algorithms, or integrating mission-critical systems, you’ll help deliver the technology that defines modern electronic warfare and situational awareness. What You’ll Do As an Entry-Level Software Engineer, you’ll join a multi-disciplinary team where you’ll:

• Design, develop, and test software for advanced defense and space systems.
• Contribute to full lifecycle engineering—from coding and debugging to integration and system testing.
• Collaborate with system, hardware, and test engineers in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
• Support field demonstrations, software installations, and system-level testing.
• Gain exposure to advanced technologies and tools while building the foundation for a long-term engineering career.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field received
• Less than one year of full-time professional software engineering experience (excluding internships)
• Proficiency in one or more high level programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Java, Python)
• Working knowledge of software design and code utilizing Object Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD) techniques
• U.S. Person with the ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Security clearance (Secret or higher)
• Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools (e.g., version control, agile methods, DevOps pipelines)
• Prior internship or research experience in related field

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $$98018 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
