Welder and Fabricator
Join our team as a Welder and Fabricator where you will specialize in welding on pressure vessels using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and Fluxcore. You will need to interpret the person codes, weld symbols, and blueprints with precision.
Shift: Day or Night Shift
Pay: $25-30/hr
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks on pressure vessels using MIG, TIG, and Fluxcore techniques.
- Interpret and work with the person codes, weld symbols, and blueprints accurately.
- Maintain high standards of welding quality, including 6G welding.
- Participate in daily skill enhancement and testing, including x-ray and NDE procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of experience in MIG or TIG welding.
- Experience working to blueprint specifications.
- At least 2G certification, with a preference for 6G certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with the person code facility procedures.
- Strong ability to adapt to varying work conditions.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.

Work Environment
The work environment is a metal fabrication setting, which can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Candidates should be comfortable working in these conditions and occasionally crawling into pipes for welding. Expect to work 50 hours per week, with peak seasons in July and December. Initial training will be during the day, transitioning to night shifts with premium pay. Regular hours are 6am - 5:30pm Monday to Thursday, 6am - 2pm on Fridays. Night shifts run from 5:30pm - 6am. Flexibility to work on Saturdays may be required, and the company supports family schedule needs.
Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
