Role: Data Analyst (SQL + Power BI) Location: Remote (US only) Duration: 4-6 Months Start: ASAP Summary Our client, a top-tier management consulting firm, has partnered with a leading financial services provider to hire a Data Analyst (Power BI & SQL). Required Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in SQL and proven experience designing and implementing data models and schemas Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas) Hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and UX-focused data visualization Proven ability to transform and optimize large, raw datasets into structured, analytics-ready formats ETL experience required; experience using Alteryx is preferred but not required Excellent communication skills with ability to effectively engage and present to project stakeholders Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain data models and schemas to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives Leverage SQL to query, transform, and optimize large datasets for reporting and analysis Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports, applying UX and data visualization principles for clarity and usability Implement and manage ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver actionable insights Apply data warehousing concepts such as dimensional modeling and star/snowflake schemas Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to ensure seamless data integration and reporting workflows Troubleshoot data quality issues, identify process improvements, and ensure data governance standards are upheld Preferred Experience Experience working in cross-functional data environments Familiarity with other data visualization or ETL tools is a plus Background in business analysis, data engineering, or analytics consulting
