Senior Data Analyst - Strategy & Operations Job at Block USA in New York

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join the Strategy and Operations team within Square Financial Services (SFS), Block's Bank. You will focus on providing data insights surrounding our commercial lending operational teams' workflows to build upon and help drive the organization's strategy. You will also be leading the charge in making operational data accessible to the leadership team within SFS. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will often interface and collaborate with Operations team leads, product managers, engineers and data scientists to influence business decisions. Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines, dashboards (Looker), and reporting assets that support operational reporting for SFS • Lead strategic analytical projects that provide critical insights or promote operational change to serve small businesses nationally • Provide comprehensive daily analytics support to Operational teams, deliver resources to empower data access and self-service so your expertise can be used where it is most impactful • Perform ad-hoc analyses of operational performance trends to inform executive decisions • Communicate data insights and recommendations to partners and executives in verbal, visual, and written media • Partner with Operations, Product, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Engineering to translate Banking requirements into clear data deliverables At least 5 years of data analysis/business intelligence experience • BA/BS (statistics, business, data management, or related field preferred) • Expertise in SQL and large-scale data sets • Proficiency with BI/visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode, etc.) • Develop, deploy, maintain, and optimize data models, pipelines, ETL jobs and visualizations • We're working to build a more inclusive economy where our customers have equal access to opportunity, and we strive to live by these same values in building our workplace.
