In this role as the HR Specialist, you will be part of our Global HR Delivery function. As a team we support to attract, retain, support and develop our talent globally. Each member of our team plays a key part in making the employee experience positive throughout their journey. In this role, you will be an integral part in driving the day-to-day HR function forward, contributing to the implementation of key HR strategies and acting as an employee champion and change agent across Norstella. The HR Specialist is primarily responsible for the day-to-day HR function that supports and provides services to employees, including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, reporting needs, learning and development and general employee questions. This role requires an understanding of local labor laws, cultural nuances, and business practices to effectively support our employees and the organization's goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in the administration of various HR efforts including onboarding, offboarding, leave administration, reporting needs, learning and development and general employee questions.
- Supporting the HR team with day-to-day HR tasks.
- Supporting various initiatives across the HR Centers of Excellence.
- Maintaining employee files and ensuring all changes are entered appropriately.
- Serving as primary contact for HR related questions and tasks.
- Assisting with implementation, communication and maintenance of all HR programs and policies.
- Managing non-complex employee relation cases that arise, including researching and understanding relevant employment law and understanding when to escalate.
- Coordinating the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and alignment with company culture and values.
- Performing ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support Norstella on various internal HR initiatives.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, HR experience preferred.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and HR practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across different cultures.
- Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new Norstella initiatives and needs.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $80,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
