divh2Job Title/h2pSupervise Universitys solid waste and recycling activities in accordance with New York City Code; train recycling staff, assign work to and monitor staff performance. Serve as liaison with Universitys janitorial contractor to advise on waste handling procedures; communicate changes in procedures or services. Route and coordinate waste and recycling collections and container services provided by Universitys waste hauler. Inspect recycling and waste handling areas throughout University to ensure operation and cleanliness./ph3Qualifications/h3pstrongRequired Education:/strong High School diploma or equivalent.strongRequired Experience:/strong 5 years increasingly responsible janitorial, recycling, and solid waste operations experience in multiple facilities plant including some supervisory experience.strongRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:/strong Good communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of New York City Recycling Codes. Knowledge of basic OSHA requirements. Knowledge of solid waste collection vehicles, equipment, and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with basic word processing and spreadsheet applications. Must possess a valid NYS drivers license. Ability to lift up to 50lbs./ph3Additional Information/h3pIn compliance with NYCs Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate salary range for this position is USD $38.716 to USD $48.716.
