We are seeking a detail-oriented Image Management Coordinator to join our Health Information Management team. This role is responsible for processing non-electronic health information images, including routine document exporting, importing, and the validation of images used across clinical areas in various applications and databases.

The successful candidate will utilize their HIM knowledge to perform daily tasks, collaborate with internal and external contacts, and work independently to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.

Location:100% onsite position, Washington Blvd. Whittier, CA 90602 (100% Onsite)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (AM Shift)

Compensation: $22.63/hr

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform document exporting, importing, and validation of non-electronic health information images.
  • Ensure images are correctly formatted and viewable across organizational databases and clinical applications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide high-level customer service.
  • Make independent decisions based on HIM policies, procedures, and medical staff bylaws.
  • Merge and/or link files as required to maintain accurate patient records.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related acute care Health Information Management (HIM) experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience working with electronic health records (EHR) applications and/or databases.
  • File Management: Demonstrated experience converting files to PDF, TIFF, or JPEG formats.

SPECIFIC SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Advanced Computer Literacy: Proficiency in working across multiple systems; advanced Excel skills (formatting, merging cells, etc.).
  • Medical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to export/save files in various formats and merge/link files effectively.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Title 22, CIHQ, Medical Staff Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and image validation.
  • Typing: Strong keyboarding skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a fully onsite position located at our facility in Whittier, CA. Candidates must be able to adhere to the AM shift schedule (6:30 AM start) to support clinical operations.
