Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to join a dynamic team in Westlake Village. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting skills in a supportive environment with the potential for long-term placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
- Match, batch, and code invoices accurately
- Handle check runs, ACH, and wire payments
- Assist with customer billing, cash applications, and collections
- Reconcile customer and vendor accounts
- Monitor aging reports and assist in resolving discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the accounting system
- Support month-end close and general ledger activities as needed
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional manner
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, with focus on AP and AR
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors in Accounting a plus
