About the Role
The Campaign Against Hunger is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our Finance and HR operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter invoices, sales receipts, and financial data into QuickBooks with accuracy
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare adjusting journal entries as needed
- Maintain an updated Accounts Receivable ledger; follow up on past?due invoices
- Distribute and reconcile office petty cash
- Assist with payroll processing and support HR functions as assigned
- Support preparation for year?end audits and provide required documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or Certified Bookkeeper credential
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Paychex, and Microsoft Windows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, with strong time?management abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
