Position Overview The primary responsibility of the Principal's Secretary is to provide support to the Principal and other administrative staff. The Principal's Secretary supports the principal with confidential tasks. The principal secretary is responsible for managing the principal's calendar including scheduling and tracking teacher formal and informal evaluations and parent meetings. The principal secretary will assist the principal with campus culture activity planning and preparation. The position is also responsible for a variety of clerical duties. The Principal's secretary is an extension of the principal and must represent the principal with professionalism. Essential Duties & Accountabilities Duties of this job may include, but are not limited to:
- Initiate purchase orders, confirm pricing, and place orders; submit documents to the central office for credit card purchases.
- Assist with payroll activities.
- Manage principal calendar.
- Track and schedule teacher evaluations.
- General errands for the school principal, including travel to the central office may also be required.
- Greet and assist visitors to the principal.
- Perform general clerical functions, such as photocopying, faxing, filing, and preparing correspondence on behalf of the principal.
- Assist in preparing the weekly staff communication.
- Prepare electronic announcements for parents.
- Assist the Principal with specific tasks or projects.
- Attend meetings outside of the school.
- Track all IEP meetings in which the principal or AP participates in.
- Assist other office secretaries as necessary.
- Assist with organizing substitute teachers if needed.
- Assist in planning and preparing school culture activities.
- Assist in planning and preparation of staff meetings and campus events.
- Take notes in meetings with the principal
- Collect and organize administrative documents
- Assists with administrative monthly reporting CRC
- Assist with creation, communication, and maintenance of staff yearly calendar (YAAG)
- Assist with PVO
- Assist with preparing for new staff first day and onboarding schedule
- Positively interact with all staff.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and confidentiality at all times

- Excellent communication skills with, students, coworkers, administration and parents.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and school staff.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
- Strong Computer Skills including Microsoft Office, and Google Programs
- Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Previous experience in school setting.
- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
