Job Summary
The Production Assistant will schedule production. In addition, will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
Job Responsibilities
Implement the daily/weekly production schedule through communication and follow-up with process leads
Assist in planning and communicating project related information
Interface with all facets of the operation: manufacturing, sales, safety, customers and other related personnel in and out of the company
Promote awareness for safety programs/initiatives
Monitor key performance indicators; explain variances and change
Investigate and recommend improvements including tracking improvements
Respond to sales and manufacturing teams needs
Compare bill of materials quantities with actual quantities and update as needed
Operate forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials
Document and maintain inventory and ensuring production area organization and cleanliness
Receive, unpack and examine incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
Submit purchase requisitions to replenish inventory stocks and other production material needs.
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Retrieve finished goods from inventory and stages shipments
Review UKG timecards and vacations for accurate production scheduling
Review incoming invoices and resolve discrepancies or issues for AP
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to read / write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Training and/or forklift experience necessary
Ability to lift up to 40lbs
