The Lead Central Supply Technician is responsible for supplying and maintaining physical inventory for the weekend shifts.
Reports to:
Job Specific Responsibilities
Daily assignments may include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for staffing and training weekend shifts.
• Review and monitor refill reports to determine ordering needs to consistently keep stocking locations at par levels; Properly documenting any items not available for replenishment.
• Maintains appropriate supplies in all stocking locations throughout the hospital.
• Respond to specific requests for distributing needed supplies or equipment to hospital personnel.
• Assist in physical inventory of the Central Supply location.
• All other related duties assigned .
Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• + 2 years experience in supply chain, inventory control, or related duties
Required Licensures/Certifications/Registrations
• N/A
Skills and Abilities
• Ability to work weekends required
• Ability to train and mentor others in the performance of duties
• Strong mathematical aptitude
• Strong inventory management skills including counting, tracking, planning, and projecting.
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
This position requires interaction with all hospital departments
Physical Capabilities
Physical demands of the position are moderate. The technician will be required to lift items up to 100 lbs., reach heights of 8 feet, as well as bend to the floor. The technician should be in reasonably good physical condition and available to spend long periods of time standing on a concrete surface. The technician must be able to endure 6+ hours of mobility, with rapid response.
Environmental/Working Conditions
This position is subject to inside environmental changes that may include constant change in temperatures.
