Introduction Join CPChem as a Turnaround Manager based in Pasadena, where you'll play a pivotal role in leading large-scale turnaround projects within our Manufacturing & Projects division. This position demands a dynamic professional who can oversee strategic cost control and turnaround execution in our ethylene and plastics production plants. You will be integral to coordinating efforts across multiple teams, aligning with corporate policies, and driving operational excellence through effective resource and stakeholder management.

As Turnaround Manager, your influence extends to shaping turnaround bidding strategies, contractor selection, and purchase requisitions, ensuring that every phase of the turnaround process adheres to our rigorous industry standards. Responsibilities

Oversee regional cost organization; provide guidance on daily activities, remove barriers to executing responsibilities, and develop personnel

Provides subject matter expertise for all aspects of TA Estimating, Cost Forecasting and Controls using the TMP turnaround management process throughout the organization and across other facilities within the Global Turnaround Organization

Work closely with Corporate Turnaround Manager, Corporate Turnaround Process Controls Manager, and Regional Turnaround Manager to establish policies, procedures, and best practices

Work with Turnaround Managers and Coordinators to establish and/or follow corporate standards for cost estimating and forecasting

Follow existing corporate guidance on cost tracking for both pre-Turnaround and Turnaround work

Overseeing all TRACK/ACORN coordinators and TRACK/ACORN approvers for documenting and payment of contractor labor

Work with the Turnaround Contractor Selection Committee to create bidding strategies and select contractors for turnaround work

Issue all purchase requisitions for labor, material, and equipment for turnaround work

During non-turnaround period, an alternative work schedule is available. During turnarounds, extended work weeks and daily work hours, which adhere to the company’s fatigue policy, will be required

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

10+ years of plant experience

5+ years of experience with turnarounds in a manufacturing environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment both internally and externally

Execution experience with large petrochemical projects and turnarounds

Demonstrated experience managing aggressive milestone compliance / targets

Proficient in SAP

Proficient in TRACK

Working knowledge of Power BI reporting

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of experience with turnarounds in a manufacturing environment

8+ years of ethylene plant and/or plastics plant experience with specific emphasis in turnaround planning

Demonstrated ability to lead medium to large execution groups (15-40 persons)

Proficient in P6

Working Knowledge of building Power BI Reports
