Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license and 2 years of recent L&D experience.

Job Details

- Position is in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit,

- Cares for pregnant patients 17 weeks gestation and beyond, including laboring and scheduled procedures,

- Handles admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries including vaginal and C-section births,

- Common equipment includes fetal monitors; documentation is done in Cerner and Fetalink,

- Required to work three 12-hour day shifts per week,

- One on-call shift required per week,

- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility,

Job Requirements

- Active DC RN license required; no pending licenses accepted,

- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required,

- NRP and AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring certifications required,

- Minimum 2 years of recent L&D nursing experience in a US hospital required,

- Experience with labor and postpartum care preferred,

- Ability to provide two manager or supervisor references, including one from the most recent employer,

- US Social Security Number required for consideration,

- Experience with Cerner and Fetalink documentation systems preferred,

Additional Information

- Will be responsible for caring for females of childbearing age, including triaging and managing complicated cases,

- May participate in pre-op preparations, external cephalic versions, and cerclage as needed,

- Must comply with CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) requirements mandated by the position,

- AHA certifications only are accepted,

- No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered,
