Resident Programming Assistant - Full Time
The Lodge at Natchez Trace - Assisted Living & Memory Care
The Lodge at Natchez Trace is looking for a creative, energetic, and compassionate Resident Programming Assistant to help bring joy, engagement, and meaningful experiences to our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. This full-time role is perfect for someone who loves working with seniors, enjoys planning fun activities, and thrives in a warm, supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Help plan, lead, and support daily activities, events, crafts, games, and social programs
- Encourage resident participation to promote socialization and reduce isolation
- Assist with outings, drive the community vehicle, and transport residents safely
- Set up and clean up activity spaces; maintain adequate supplies
- Support new resident move-ins with welcome items and friendly introductions
- Provide administrative support to the Life Enrichment Director
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, and team members
- Assist care staff in escorting residents to programs or events as needed
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 1-2 years of experience in activities, recreation, or senior living preferred
- Friendly, patient, creative, and enthusiastic personality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents safely
- SERVSAFE certified or willing to obtain
