Summary:
The project scheduler will be responsible for working with the Project Director to develop, maintain. control and manage the overall plan for the CT-KIND project. This will include working and partnering with business/IT leads and team members to ensure critical activities are accurately defined, understood and remain on track with agreed to timelines. This work will include but not be limited to: Definition and updating of the macro (executive level) milestone exhibit and reporting, as well as the day-to-day task level planning, monitoring execution of tasks.
Duties and expectations of the Project Scheduler are as follows:
- A focus on building strong partnerships.
- Development, support and maintenance of executive level dashboard and presentations.
- Consult with product owners, team members, directors and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks and sub-tasks.
- Keeping stakeholders informed of project timelines, deadlines and critical path awareness items as they arise.
- Assist with identification and definition of recommended actions to keep the project within budget and on schedule including options for risk response and resolution.
- Will serve as the central point of control for all project schedule activities.
Project Scheduler Required Skills and Expertise:
- Able to monitor project timelines and deadlines across multiple workstreams.
- Experience developing weekly/ monthly status routines and reporting metrics.
- Familiarity working with both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Expert mastery of MS Project and Agile tools to develop, maintain and control a hybrid schedule across multiple workstreams.
- Proficiency in MS Project, SharePoint, Azure DevOps, and other project tools/software.
- Strong risk and issue management acumen.
- Proven communication skills, well-organized, and influential leadership skills, with demonstrated experience working in a team-oriented environment and proficiency with collaboration, including having excellent interpersonal and documentation skills.
- Project budgeting, resource planning, allocation and capacity planning skills and experience.
- Is an aggressive problem solver.
- Business acumen and political savvy
- Minimum of 3 years working as a project administrator or similar role within a PMO.
- PMP, CSM certification preferred.
- PMI- SP will be advantageous.
