St. Mary's Episcopal School seeks substitute teachers to implement effective instructional programming in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. St. Mary's is a school that serves girls ages two years old through grade 12. Please indicate your preference for grade levels and subjects on your application.
School Divisions:
Early Childhood - 2 years old through Senior Kindergarten
Lower School- First through Fifth Grades
Middle School- Sixth through Eighth Grades
Upper School- Ninth through Twelfth Grades
The successful candidate will:
* Teach students according to the classroom teacher's lesson plans.
* Maintain order and demonstrate effective classroom management skills.
* Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Exhibit a high level of professionalism.
* Be committed to the principles of the Episcopal Identity of the school and support the schools' goals for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 60 hours of college credit and 21 years of age required. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
* Demonstrated interest in education.
* Enthusiastic about girls' education.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active; it requires standing and walking, including stairs. The employee must be able to traverse school facilities and lead students to safety in the event of an emergency. Teachers may be expected to lift up to 50 pounds.
