Travel Respiratory Therapist - NICU RT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of NICU or PICU experience for a day shift neonatal intensive care role requiring current Indiana licensure and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Job Details

- Work in a NICU, PICU, or pediatric acute care unit providing respiratory therapy services,

- Primarily assigned to Labor & Delivery and NICU, with assignment to PICU or pediatric units as needed,

- Patient population includes neonates, infants, and pediatric patients in critical care settings,

- Float required to PICU and some pediatric acute care units,

- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 to 19:00), option for 3x12 or 4x12 schedule,

- Every other weekend coverage required,

- Electronic Medical Record: Cerner, experience required,

Job Requirements

- Current Indiana or compact state RRT license required for consideration,

- Associates degree from a CoARC and CHEA accredited respiratory therapy program required,

- Minimum 2 years NICU or PICU experience required,

- Children's hospital experience within the last 3 years required,

- Labor & Delivery experience required,

- Certification in ACLS and BLS required (AHA or RQI accepted),

- NRP certification required for L&D assignment and may be obtained after offer,

- NBRC RRT credential required,

- PALS certification preferred,

- Experience with Cerner EMR required,

- License required if applicable,

- First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

- Travelers will be assigned a home unit but may have unit changes based on facility needs,

- Must participate in holiday coverage by working 2 out of 3 major holidays,

- Up to 5 days of requested time off may be auto-approved,

- All travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals,

- Returning employees must not have been on staff as perm or PRN within the last 12 months,
