Location: Washington, DC 20032
Contract Length: 8 Weeks
Schedule: 3×12-Hour Mid Shifts
Pay Range: $71.00 - $80.00/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast‑paced, high‑acuity Emergency Department. This unit treats a full spectrum of patients, including urgent care cases, pediatrics, psychiatric patients, and critical care/trauma cases.
ER nurses in this department are expected to manage advanced critical care interventions such as:
* Medication titrations
* Arterial line management
* Massive blood transfusion protocols
* Chest tube care
* The RN will deliver and coordinate care for patients with complex needs while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient experience.
Requirements
* Active RN License in the state/district of practice
* BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
* ER Nursing Experience: Minimum 1 year
* Education: Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program
Key Responsibilities
* Provide rapid assessment, intervention, and stabilization for patients with emergent conditions
* Monitor, evaluate, and document patient progress
* Perform and assist with complex procedures and critical care interventions
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high‑quality care
* Support an efficient, compassionate patient flow in a demanding environment
