Position A Private Advisor Team is seeking a motivated individual to join its growing team as a Client Associate. In this role, you’ll support advisors in managing client relationships and delivering comprehensive financial planning solutions. Key responsibilities include assisting with investment management, preparing detailed asset allocation and performance reports, and coordinating tax, estate, and insurance planning. You’ll also manage account activities such as onboarding new relationships, trading, and documentation. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize across multiple clients, and a collaborative approach to ensure exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
Prepare key documents and financial reports for client meetings (consolidated net worth, consolidated asset allocation, consolidated performance reporting, cash flow analysis, income tax projections, estate plan summaries & flowcharts, P&C insurance summaries, etc.).
Liaise with other teams such as Operations, Technology, Investment Solutions Group, to ensure client accounts are compliant and deliverables are timely and accurate.
Coordinate with clients outside financial professionals (T&E Attorneys, CPAs, etc.) to ensure client goals & objectives are achieved in an efficient, timely manner.
Coordinate with other team members to proof reports and deliver them, with execution instructions, in time for client meetings.
Perform one-off financial research requests using third-party data and software, and internal systems. This can include research regarding investment due diligence, tax and estate planning regulations, etc.
Handle operational aspects of client accounts including assisting with preparation and review of new account paperwork & subscription documents, money movements, trading, etc.
Keep Client Advisors apprised of the status of client relationships and related tasks; elevate client issues as appropriate.
Field general questions from clients, manage client expectations by properly balancing needs and resources with deliverables, and elevate new client requests to ensure proper scope of services is addressed.
Serve as back-up to other Associates when necessary.
Maintain a sense of ‘ownership and accountability’ for the clients the CA services; communicate clearly, maintain careful records, have attention to detail and follow compliance policies and procedures.
Qualifications
1-3 years prior client service experience within financial industry, or equivalent experience, preferred
Bachelors degree, with a business/finance focus preferred
Series 7 & 66 is a plus, and if not, willing to obtain
Skills
Basic understanding of investments and/or portfolio reporting and related terminology
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel; ability to use Excel to organize, analyze, present and report on client information; Word, Access and PowerPoint a plus
Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team
Ability to multi-task and be able to reassess priorities as situations arise
Detail-oriented and attention to accuracy and meeting deadlines
Excellent inter-personal skills
Ability to exercise discretion with confidential matters
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely
Compensation Range The anticipated base salary range for this role is $70,000 to $75,000. Base salary for the role will depend on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and may fall outside of the range shown. In addition, this role may be eligible for other variable compensation programs.
