SALARY RANGE: $17.08 to $23.12

We are currently looking for a Unit Clerk/CNA for a full-time day shift – 6am to 3pm position. You will work closely with Licensed Nurses and other team members to meet the needs of our residents and to ensure high quality care is maintained. The Unit Clerk/CNA will schedule appointments with doctors and other facilities for needed resident treatment. This will include working with Activities Department or Family Members to arrange transportation to the scheduled appointments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience with medical terminology and patient care.

CNA experience and active Tennessee CNA license.

Primary duties will entail scheduling labs, x-rays and doctor appointments for residents outside of the building. This would include communication with Activities or family members to arrange transportation and nursing care staff for readying of the resident for an outside visit along with preparation of the packet for the transport.

Assist with transporting residents, when needed. Due to resident needs and care during transport, active/current CNA license is required.

Organizes nursing station, making copies as needed and thinning charts.

Keeps supplies current and ready for use, including Admission Packets for the nurses.

Prepares forms for charts.

Assists other staff with resident care and food delivery, as needed.

Answer the phone and takes messages as needed.

Answers call lights

Attends in-services as required.

QUALIFICATIONS Candidate must have a current & active Nursing Certification. Must be able to work independently and make decisions when circumstances warrant to meet the needs of residents and be flexible in work habits to meet needs of residents or nursing staff. Must be able to deal tactfully and effectively with residents, families and visitors along with offices and locations for scheduling appointments. Must be able to read and understand standard English and be willing to work as part of a caring team to provide the best possible care for our residents.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

Current and active Nurse Aide Certification.
