Pay Range: USD $190k - $210k Annually/Yearly+ Sign on Bonus and Benefits
Must-Haves
1Ability to provide legal counsel, strategic advice, and policy support on regulatory, litigation and legislative advocacy issues.
2 Substantial general regulatory practice and environmental law and advocacy experience.
3 J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the bar to practice law.

2Ability to process complex, technical, abstract verbal and written information for purposes of establishing a beneficial messaging framework, strategy, direction and action plans

Job Description
Thea national trade association representing the world's leading chemical and plastics manufacturers, currently has an opportunity for for its Legal Services division. represents its members on public policy issues; coordinates the industry's research and testing programs; and administers Responsible Care®, the industry's environment, health, safety and security performance improvement initiative.
The position is responsible for providing legal counsel and policy support on advocacy issues, protecting legal interests and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws. The position is also responsible for managing legal matters in assigned areas, including assisting in the selection of outside counsel as needed, managing outside counsel, and ensuring projects come in at or below budget. The position coordinates legal issues with appropriate in-house clients and colleagues and reports directly to the General Counsel.
Required qualifications include a minimum of 10 years' experience as an attorney, with substantial general regulatory practice and advocacy experience, with a preference for experience in environmental law, but not required; a J.D. from an accredited law school; and admission to the bar to practice law. A self-starter with the ability to work independently on a variety of projects and prioritize multiple issues, projects, and information requests, excellent writing skills and working knowledge and demonstrated ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access are a must.
