American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with FL or compact license, orthopedic, robotics, and urology surgery experience for a fast-paced surgical team.
Job Details
- Position is based in a hospital operating room with variable day shifts (4x10 hours, 6:45-17:15),
- Handles caseloads averaging 30 surgical cases per day with a 1:1 RN to patient ratio,
- Clinical procedures include bariatric, orthopedic, robotics, and urology surgeries,
- Circulating in robotic cases is required,
- EPIC is used for electronic medical record documentation, and EPIC experience is required,
- Weekend shifts required: every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, based on unit needs,
- On-call is required, with approximately one call shift per week and a 30-minute response time to the hospital,
- Floating is required to all four hospital sites as needed, though travelers have a home base,
Job Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required at the time of consideration (no pending licenses accepted),
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience,
- Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred,
- Experience in orthopedics, robotics, and urology procedures required,
- EPIC EMR experience required,
- Two recent professional references from managers, supervisors, charge nurses, or directors within the last year,
- Flu vaccine required from 10/31-3/31, with medical/religious exemptions allowed,
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include circulating in robotic surgical cases and supporting bariatric procedures,
- Staff may float between all hospital locations as needed based on operational requirements,
- First-time travelers are accepted,
- Must comply with finalized RTO at submission; no additional RTO will be approved after offer,
- Scrubs must be solid color, top and bottom matching, with no logos or prints; candidate may provide their own or use provided scrubs,
- Free parking is available with a decal provided during orientation,
- No mile radius rule; local candidates are accepted at the same rate,
- Staff, employees, and past contracted travelers must have a one-year gap after any previous internal position,
- Orientation and annual modules required, completed via facility LMS,
- Lab work must be completed within 72 hours of signing,
