American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab position requiring a VA or compact RN license and at least one year of EP lab experience.
Job Details
- Work in the EP Lab within a hospital setting,
- Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM,
- Late shifts required 1-2 times per week, staying until procedures are completed,
- No regular weekend shifts are required,
- Possible summer holiday call coverage,
- Procedures include multiple ablation types, device implants (ICDs, pacemakers, Micra, S-ICD), pericardial taps, and cardioversions,
- EP Lab consists of 3 labs and 1 procedure room,
- Typical staffing is 1 RN and 1 RT/RCIS/RCES per case, sometimes with a third team member,
- No floating or reassignments required,
Job Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required,
- Minimum of 12 months of recent EP Lab RN experience,
- Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program (diploma, Associates, or BSN accepted),
- Competency to scrub and/or circulate/monitor in EP procedures is required,
- Must not have been employed at the health system within the previous 12 months,
- Ability to work late shifts as necessary,
- Hospital-provided scrubs must be worn,
- Compliance with a natural nail policy,
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include monitoring and circulating in EP procedures, performing ablations, device implants, and assisting with cardioversions and pericardial taps,
- Work in a team-oriented environment with a collaborative team structure,
- Facility is a drug and tobacco free workplace with no smoking on campus,
- Documentation and verification of education, license, and references are required for consideration,
- Travelers are not guaranteed holidays off and must note any time-off requests before consideration,
