Description

DRMP's Accounting Team is seeking a Project Accountant to join their growing division. If you're great with numbers - that's the first step. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can combine their love of numbers with strong attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task/prioritize the needs of multiple Engineers/Project Managers.

*You will be responsible for all aspects of project accounting.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

* Set up new projects and manage monthly revenue recognition

* Compile and analyze project financial reports to assist Project Managers (PMs) in achieving profitability goals.

* Coordinate with PMs on monthly project reviews, including but not limited to accurate revenue recognition, billing, budgeting, Estimates to Complete (ETCs), and accounts receivable (AR).

* Verify employee time and expenses for accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and billing policies.

* Maintain project-related documentation in Deltek Vision, including contracts, supplemental agreements, task orders, and other key records.

* Conduct contract review and support contract management throughout the project lifecycle.

* Communicate effectively with PMs regarding contract terms, modifications, approvals, and additional services impacting revenue and billing.

* Collaborate with PMs, clients, subconsultants, and internal departments to ensure timely invoicing, payments, and responses to financial or contractual inquiries

* Perform additional tasks and assignments as directed by the Director and/or Project Accounting Manager.

What you'll need

* 3+ years of professional experience in Project Accounting.

* Experience working with a construction, engineering firm or within Transportation.

* Deltek Vision/VantagePoint experience.

* Solid computer skills with experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* Strong organizational skills, writing, and verbal communication skills (are a must).

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (preferred).
