Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Fort Myers, FL 33908
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 3x12 Nights
Pay Rate: $2,360 Weekly Gross
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team in Fort Myers, FL. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing high-acuity obstetric patients , providing exceptional care through all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a high-acuity setting.
* Monitor maternal and fetal conditions, interpret data, and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
* Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and emergency obstetric procedures .
* Administer medications, including oxytocin, epidural anesthesia, and other prescribed treatments.
* Operate and monitor fetal monitoring systems ; accurately interpret and document fetal heart rate patterns.
* Provide patient education and emotional support to mothers and families throughout the birthing process.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective patient care.
* Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
Required Education
* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Degree accreditation required).
Required Licensure & Certifications
* Active Registered Nurse (RN) License - Valid in the state of Florida or compact eligible.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association.
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Required.
* AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring - Required.
* AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring - Required.
* Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification - Preferred.
