About the Opportunity
We're seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of civil litigation experience to join the firm's General Liability Defense practice in Philadelphia . This group handles a broad range of matters including premises liability, construction accidents, auto and trucking claims, negligent security, and personal injury defense.
This role offers hands-on litigation experience, direct partner collaboration, and the chance to work on challenging, high-exposure cases for some of the region's most respected clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a general liability defense caseload from inception through resolution with partner oversight
* Draft and argue motions , including dispositive and discovery motions
* Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
* Prepare pleadings, discovery responses, and client communications
* Attend mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and trials as needed
* Maintain accurate time records and meet firm billing expectations
Qualifications
* Juris Doctor ( J.D. ) from an accredited law school
* Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and in good standing (New Jersey Bar a plus)
* 2-5 years of civil litigation experience , ideally in general liability or insurance defense
* Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Deposition and motion practice experience required; trial experience a plus
