Key duties include scheduling repairs, optimizing fuel usage, managing budgets, handling accident reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance, and utilizing telematics for tracking and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Management: Procuring, leasing, maintaining, and disposing of vehicles; managing vehicle lifecycle and replacement cycles.
Safety & Compliance: Implementing safety programs, monitoring driver behavior, handling incidents, and ensuring adherence to other regulations.
Financial Management: controlling operating costs, managing fuel programs, and analyzing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Driver Management: evaluating, and coaching drivers, ensuring proper licensing.
Technology Integration: Implementing and using fleet management software, telematics.
Core Goals:
Protect Uptime: Keep vehicles operational and available for work.
Control Costs: Manage expenses like fuel, maintenance, and acquisition.
Reduce Risk: Ensure safety and compliance with all laws.
