WSP USA is initiating a search for a Full-time
Cx Project Manager (Electrical)
for our New York office.
Plans and conducts work requiring judgment regarding the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. Successfully completes small to medium projects by organizing and controlling project elements. Works closely with Project Managers (PM) or Senior Project Field Engineers for technical review and guidance.
Your Impact
Prepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications.
Evaluate fundamental engineering guidelines, code compliance requirements and industry standards.
Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects.
Assist in the preparation of commissioning specifications and basis of design documents during design and submittal reviews.
Assist in developing proposals and responses to RFP’s for commissioning projects.
Assist in the documentation processes and assist in the development of procedures related to commissioning activities.
Attend meetings with owners, building managers, and all relative stakeholders to discuss future and or current projects.
Responsible for meeting the client’s project and financial goals and objectives.
Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with owners, vendors, other design professionals and contractors.
Assist in the firm’s human resource efforts through training and mentoring junior firm members.
Updates job knowledge and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in technical organizations, obtaining certifications in area of expertise, and participating in the firm’s Technical Committee as requested.
Interstate travel is periodically required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who You Are Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.
7 to 10 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior building and systems commissioning experience.
Working knowledge of MEP building systems, electrical systems and testing, electrical testing equipment and electrical commissioning requirements.
Proficient in 480-Volt electrical systems, operating electrical testing equipment such as power quality meters, circuit breaker test sets, contact/insulation resistance meters and infrared cameras.
Experience with 5kV -26kV systems and protection relays is preferred.
Experience with witnessing and/or executing pre-functional and functional electrical testing.
Knowledge of NETA electrical testing.
Experience with Short Circuit/Coordination/ Arc Flash Studies.
Proficiency in SKM or E-Tap software or similar is preferred but not required.
Good understanding of the architectural, engineering and construction industry.
Experience with sustainable design practices or facilities operations is preferred.
Possess clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Experience with Deltek Vision or Project Resource Management software is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
PE license is preferred, but not required.
Certifications in areas of expertise are preferred.

Compensation: Expected Salary (all locations): $125,000 - $150,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
