Role: QE Automation engineer
Location; New York (Hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced Lead SDET / QE Automation engineer with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, and Cucumber to join our fast paced engineering team.
In this role, you will design and enhance automation frameworks, champion quality engineering best practices, and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery across products.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based test automation frameworks.
* Build and execute automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber (BDD).
* Partner with developers, product owners, and QA teams to drive quality initiatives and ensure seamless integration.
* Work within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
* Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar).
* Perform strong SQL-based validations, data checks, and backend test verifications.
* Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.

Strong proficiency in Java
API testing (RestAssured, Postman)
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Cucumber (BDD)
Solid understanding of SQL and backend data validation
Experience working in Agile methodology
CI/CD pipeline integration experience
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
