The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills and experience analyzing complex financial datasets to drive actionable insights. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and business acumen to support decision-making and optimize financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL and other analytical tools.
* Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support business units, executives, and stakeholders.
* Interpret financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
* Support financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis initiatives.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Technology, to understand data needs and deliver insights.
* Maintain data integrity, ensure compliance with data governance policies, and document analysis processes.
* Assist in automating reporting processes and improving data workflows.
Required Qualifications:
* Experience as a Data Analyst in financial services or banking.
* Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating complex datasets.
* Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Excel).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of financial instruments, markets, and key performance metrics.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with Python, R, or other programming languages for data analysis.
* Knowledge of regulatory and compliance reporting requirements in financial services.
* Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, or cloud-based financial data platforms.
