Description
Body Shop Technician
Bring your technical skills to Kunes Auto Group and help restore vehicles to their best with a team that values craftsmanship and precision.
Responsibilities
* Assess vehicle damage and perform quality repairs to body panels, structural elements, and vehicle frames, following manufacturer and dealership standards.?
* Replace damaged body parts-including bumpers, fenders, hoods, and trim-and align, weld, or attach new components as needed.?
* Prep surfaces, sand, mask, and apply paint coatings using appropriate tools and techniques.?
* Perform fiberglass, aluminum, and light mechanical repairs within expertise.
* Document repair work and maintain open communication with managers and team members regarding timelines, supplies, and repair progress.?
* Operate all shop tools and equipment safely; follow safety procedures and uphold high housekeeping standards.
* Participate in ongoing training and stay current with repair techniques and industry regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.?
* 1-4 years of automotive body shop or collision repair experience preferred.?
* I-CAR or ASE certifications are a plus; candidates with strong practical experience will also be considered.?
* Able to safely lift, move, and position heavy vehicle parts.
* Own basic hand tools; additional specialty tools welcome.
* Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
