Handyman - Maintenance Technician
Location: New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Area LA
Pay: $28-$30 per hour (Based on Experience)
Hours: 40-50 per week
Position Overview:
We're seeking an experienced Handyman - Maintenance Technician to join our team in New Orleans, Baton Rouge Area, LA .
This is a long-term position offering steady hours , competitive pay , and work in a commercial and residential environment .
Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems ( required )
* Assist with plumbing, welding, carpentry, and general facility repairs as needed
* Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
* Support operations teams with technical expertise
* Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company standards
Requirements:
* Strong electrical maintenance experience (required)
* Commercial and/or residential maintenance background preferred
* Experience in plumbing, welding, masonry, or carpentry is a plus
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
* Must have reliable commercial-grade transportation (pickup truck or transit van)
