Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Location: Denver, Colorado

Pay: $35-52/hr

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our team in Denver. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and utilize your specialized nursing skills to serve various patient age groups, including adults, adolescents, geriatrics, and pediatrics. As a vital member of our surgical team, you will ensure smooth and efficient procedures in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly functioning.

* Assist with the post-procedure workflow, including cleaning the OR, organizing unused supplies, and setting up for subsequent procedures.

* Collaborate with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.

* Supervise, teach, and mentor staff members based on their competency level, ensuring the effective delegation of tasks.

* Rotate to other departments as needed, performing duties aligned with your skill set and competencies.

Qualifications:

* Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Colorado or an active multi-state RN license.

* Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).

* Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a perioperative (OR) setting is required.

* Certifications:

* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

* Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications (required within 6 months of hire).

* CNOR certification (preferred).

Skills & Competencies:

* Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room protocols.

* Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure situations.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Flexibility to rotate to other units and perform various duties as needed.
