Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has a passion for cooking, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in preparing high-quality dishes. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and plating menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items following recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, following all health and safety regulations
* Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food service
* Follow proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures
* Assist in restocking ingredients and supplies as needed
* Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and grilling
* Maintain a sense of urgency and attention to detail, especially during peak hours
* Assist with kitchen opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
* Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred
* Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills
* Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
* Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
