Job description
We're looking for a QMA with a compassionate mindset and a passion for helping seniors. A self-starter with enthusiasm and initiative. This team member loves caring for patients and knows how to develop lasting trust. Could this be you?
Responsibilities:
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
* Monitor vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
* Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
* Provide emotional support to patients and families.
* Educate patients and families about health care maintenance.
* Observe and report changes in patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
* Assist with geriatric care needs.
Qualifications:
* Must be certified as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) by the state
* Must have no finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.
* Skilled at tackling numerous tasks and makes quick decisions.
* Can foster good resident and family relationships.
* Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
* A passion for working with elderly residents.
* Experience in a long-term or assisted living facility a plus, but not required.
