Duffy's Dishwasher Job Description
Reports to: Chef
Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods.
Major areas of responsibility:
* Additionally, dishwashers are expected to keep the dishwashing area clean and safe.
* Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into dish machine.
* Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
* Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
* Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
* Sweep or mop floors.
* Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
* Clean garbage cans with water and soap.
* Store supplies.
* Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, or refrigerators.
* Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks.
* Clean dish machine - Break down at the end of the night.
* Perform additional cleaning duties as requested.
* Maintain a positive and professional approach to coworkers and customers.
