We are seeking a Power BI Developer to support our client 'onsite' in Houston TX. The Power BI Developer be responsible for designing, developing , and maintaining dashboards and report visualizations in the Power BI Service .
This is an onsite position (no hybrid)
1 st Interview MS Teams (virtual); 2 nd interview is onsite/in-person (preference given to local candidates)
Responsibilities:
* Utilize best practices to design, develop, and support Power BI visualizations, dashboards and reports.
* Optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance
* Understand requirements and have the ability to visualize the Dashboard
* Work on different metrics and calculations using Power BI functions
* Be able to consolidate and aggregate data for visualizations
* Schedule dashboard refreshes and set up proactive notifications
Must Have:
* 4+ years in Power BI dashboard and report visualization development
* Excellent communication to communicate needs with client and internal teams successfully
* Expertise in publishing reports and dashboards using Power BI Service
* Expertise in Power Query and DAX languages
* Ability to prevent and support resolution of data quality issues
Nice to have:
* Ability to educate report requestors and consumers on Power BI development, capabilities, and best practices
* Any Power BI governance and security experience
