Loan Closing Associate - Global Loan Operations
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $95K-$120K
Overview
A leading global financial institution is seeking a Loan Closing Associate to join its Corporate Loan Operations team in New York. This role supports end-to-end Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan closings, portfolio activity, and operational coordination across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Management
* Oversee the full closing process for CRE loans, including balance sheet, syndicated, and conduit transactions.
* Manage deal workflow from document review through funding.
* Serve as the operational SME for CRE transactions.
Systems and Documentation
* Review credit and loan agreements to determine operational requirements.
* Set up and maintain deals in LoanIQ.
* Prepare and validate settlement and funding calculations.
* Ensure alignment between system setup and borrower documentation.
Cross-Functional Coordination
* Partner with Investment Banking, Markets, Legal, Treasury, Client Onboarding, servicing teams, and external agents.
Portfolio Operations
* Manage lifecycle events, secondary trade settlements, reconciliations, and corporate actions.
* Handle cash movements, early payments, and position updates.
Quality and Compliance
* Resolve past-due items and closing issues.
* Support KYC requirements for new clients.
* Review and provide input on closing and trading documentation.
Qualifications
* 2-5 years of Commercial Real Estate loan operations or loan closing experience (balance sheet, syndicated, or conduit).
* Experience with CRE funding, servicing, or deal administration.
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
* Ability to handle complex transactions in a fast-paced environment.
* LoanIQ experience is a strong plus.
